Jon Gosselin’s son Collin celebrated Mother’s Day with a glowing Instagram post honoring his father’s girlfriend Colleen Conrad — and nothing for his mother Kate Gosselin.
The 16-year-old former reality star shared the post on Sunday that credited Colleen with being an ‘awesome mother figure’ and one of his ‘best friends.’
The post arrived after Jon, 43, claimed that Kate, 45, had mentally tortured their son before sending him away to a specially needs institution when he was only 11 in an exclusive interview with DailyMailTV.
Ouch: Jon Gosselin’s son Collin, 16, shared a moving tribute to his father’s girlfriend Collen Conrad for Mother’s Day that seemed to shade his mother Kate Gosselin by omission
‘Turns out today is Mother’s Day, today we pay love forward to our mothers, but I don’t think mother can describe all the things Colleen has done for me,’ Collin began.
‘Yes a mother clothes her children and cooks for them but it’s the best feeling when your mother or mother figure is one of your best friends and always has your back, the one who always shares that laugh of the humor only you guys get.
‘I could call it Mother’s Day, but it’s more than that, Colleen, you are so much more than a mother to me, you are one of my guidelines and one of my guiding lights,’ he continued.
‘Thank you doesn’t say enough, I love you so much and you’ve done so much for me that claims you my strong, happy, loving and awesome mother figure, you’re irreplaceable. Thank you so much Colleen love you so much!!!❤️❤️.’

Shipped off: Collin came to live with Jon, 43, in 2018 after Kate, 45, placed him in a special needs institution for three years due to common ADHD
The effusive praise for Colleen, a registered nurse who has been dating Jon since 2014, seemed to criticize Kate by omission.
Jon has previously delved into his son’s history with his mother, who sent him away to a special needs institution when he didn’t suffer from anything more serious than common ADHD.
The reality star claimed Kate was ‘narcissistic and selfish’ in his interview with DailyMailTV last year.
‘She always speaks for the children. They say this, they want to do this – unicorns, rainbows and look, flying pigs. It’s all lies. They all have voices.’
Jon claimed that while Collin was ‘caged’ for three years at this institution, his mother only visited him three times for less than two hours total, all while refusing to tell Jon where Collin was being kept.
His son came to live with Jon after he wrote him a letter from the boarding school begging him to take him home.

Two for the road: Collin and his sister Hannah live with Jon in Pennsylvania, while the other four sextuplets and their older twin siblings live with Kate
‘I told Mom I want to live with you, she said no. But right? She can’t choose for me. I’m old enough now, I’m YOUR son, not hers. She was abusive to me after I left your house. I’m sorry. Take this to court because … you’re my dad, my savior,’ he scribbled in crayon.
On Sunday, Jon sent out birthday wishes to Collin and his and Kate’s other sextuplets: Aaden, Alexis, Hannah, Joel and Leah.
In addition to Collin, his sister Hannah currently lives with Jon and Colleen in Pennsylvania, while the other four children and their older twin siblings Cara and Madelyn, 19, live with their mother Kate.
